Morning Updates!

Working from home is a definite plus of the new job - - I took one look at the weather this morning and decided that attempting to make it to the office was more trouble than it would be worth.  I'm sitting on my couch in my pj's with a huge cup of coffee and no intentions of changing anytime soon.

Here are your morning celebrity/tv/pop culture updates!

- President Bush will be saying goodbye as President tonight at 8:00 (stop clapping Liz!) This will push all prime time shows off by 15 minutes, so be sure to adjust your DVRs if needed.

- I made it through American Idol last night in 33 minutes!  I predict the music teacher, whose wife passed away a month prior, to go very far.  I thought he had a great voice, was super cute, and I liked his glasses!  I also liked the girl who lived with her 93 year old grandmother - had a very Kelly Clarkson vibe about her.  Of course I liked Jason Castro's brother as well (gotta love pink hair and piercings) but don't get too attached cause he doesn't go very far.

- A Gossip Girl spin off is in the works. The show will focus on Serena's momma, Lily Van Der Woodsen, as a troubled teenager in 1980s Los Angeles.  The pilot will air on May 11 but has not yet been greenlit as a full series.

- Interesting interview with Executives at Summit Movie Studio on how life there has changed after the success of Twilight.

- Find out how many degrees you are from Kevin Bacon at this site.  I'm only 3!  I grew up with Johnny Galecki (lived across the street from his Aunt) who was in Prancer with Cloris Leachman, who was in New York, I Love You with Kevin Bacon.
