TV Updates

Just some updates on So You Think You Can Dance and a few random TV headlines.

So You Think You Can Dance
I've read who the partners are for the top twenty, and I'm not sure how I feel. So as not to spoil things, I'll just say that it's very obvious who the producers would like to to keep until the top 10 (when All-Stars will appear.) With only one show a week this season, the voting process has changed drastically. Here's how it will work:

This week - Wednesday, July 11th
  • The Top 20 will perform with their designated partners.
  • After the show, the public will vote for the individual dancers they want to keep.
Following week - Wednesday, July 18th
  • At the beginning of the episode, the judges will announce the bottom three guys and bottom three girls based on the vote from the week prior.
  • The dancers will dance their partnered routines.
  • The judges will decide who will leave the show.
  • The voting public will be allowed to phone in their votes for the following episode.

TV Headlines
  • Adam Lambert is being considered as a judge for the next season on American Idol. I think it's a wonderful idea and might make me tune in to a show that I'd previously written off.
  • Big Brother - Not sure how I feel about the return of four previous house guests, especially the four that they are planning on bringing back (I won't spoil it - - send me an email Molly and I'll tell you!)
  • "Once Upon A Time" is looking for a role for Jorge Garcia (since Alcatraz was canceled). It's already been announced that next season they will introduce Mulan and Sleeping Beauty.
  • Nadia from LOST will be on the next (and final) season of Gossip Girl.
  • I'm reading tons of positive reviews of the show "Political Animals" which premiers this Sunday on the USA network. It's only six episodes, and is being described as "Dirty Sexy Money" meets "The West Wing."
