Morning Updates!

- NBC has officially renewed Medium, Parks & Rec, and Southland. NBC has also given the green light to six new scripted series including "Parenthood" (starring Maura Tierney,) "Day One," and two new medical dramas - "Trauma" and "Mercy." The two new comedies are "Community" starring Joel McHale (YAY!!) and "100 Questions."

- The mentor on Idol tomorrow night, Slash from Guns and Roses, has remarked via Twitter that Adam Lambert is blowing him away. Can't wait to see what the songs are for "rock week," but I guarantee that we'll get a Glambert high note with tongue hanging out.

- The nominees for the 2009 MTV movie awards have been announced. Twilight took the lead with 7 nominations. Start voting now at http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2009/

- The sad news of the day. David Cook's brother has passed away from brain cancer at the age of 36. For those of you that watched American Idol last year, the "AC" on David's guitar was for his brother.

- And finally...this might be TMI....but the "Smooth Away" infomercial product does actually work! A friend told me it worked, and although I was skeptical, I tried. First time was a tad painful, but I've since figured it out and it's so easy.

Yep, there's a pain tolerance threshold required that must be developed over a few sessions of using the sandpaper contraption on your face! Now that I've adapted, I love it too!
