Decided not to "live-blog" the VMAs this year because I was afraid I would fall asleep before they were over....guess what, I did. So, I will now give a quick rehash of my thoughts on the show.
The Good
- Florence and the Machine!!! I've loved her stuff for a while now, but this performance proved what an amazing vocalist should be able to do live. Choreography by Travis Wall was amazing!- Lots and lots of SYTYCD alumni on the stage tonight. Mark Kanemura, Nick Lazzarini, Neil Haskell, Channing Cooke, Brandon (apple head), Legacy.

- I admit it, I caught myself bobbing my head to that damn Justin Beiber song. If this were 1990 I would totally go scream my head off at his concert at the Ohio State Fair just like I did with New Kids on the Block.
- Cher and Lady Gaga on the stage at the same time made every gay man's evening.
- Just a glimpse of Justin Timberlake, but it was enough to make me smile.

The Bad
- Chelsea Handler - I think you should stick with the talk show/stand up venues and leave live hosting to Jimmy Fallon. Not a good day for you at all.
- Why so much lipsyncing?
The Ugly
- Taylor Swift. Where to begin.....Girl may be able to write a decent song, but she cannot sing. She looked beautiful, but I thought every second of that self-righteous song was atrocious.
- Kanye West. Yes, we all know you are a douchbag, no need to put it to music.
