With a top 11 ready to compete tonight, thought I'd remind you of the few changes that we have in store for us this year. (No Spoilers...I promise!!)
- Dancers will pick their "All-Star" partner out of a hat and that determines the dance type for the week.
- Each All-Star will dance ONLY in their genre. Some All-Stars "qualify" in more than one genre. Breathe a sigh of relief that Comfort is not going to dance ballroom.
- Only one dancer is eliminated each week. So, it could be that every girl gets eliminated the first 5 weeks - but that would make me very sad because then the All-Star boys would be done.
- Phone calls from viewers determine the bottom 3 dancers, then the judges eliminate one of those bottom three. In the finale episode, viewers will decide the winner.
- The shows will all be live this season - performance shows and results show. Past seasons had the ability to edit when a dance went way off track, this season it will truly be one shot. My biggest fear with this is that camera angles could be a mess, which could make for difficult viewing.
I'm already looking very forward to tonight's show - bring on Mark and Pasha!! (and the contestants too I guess...)

I like the All Stars, (and by the way I like Mark more now than I did during his season), but I don't think I like the live format. They kept talking about being worried about time, and the audience's screaming during Alex and Allison's dance was really distracting and detracting.
