Snuggie and New Camera

After arriving at work this morning, I sat at my desk convinced that I had left my curling iron on. Visions of flames shooting from my roof entered my brain and I knew that I wouldn't be able to think of anything else. (I don't think the NSync Bobble Heads are fire proof!) I called Jen, who rescued me by going to my house and checking - it was off all along. Disaster averted.

As a thank you, I took Jen her very own Snuggie this evening. (Yes, it was a joke, however - I know Jen will wear it often.) Here's Kendyl modeling for me:

I also bought a new camera tonight (the old one kicked the bucket.) I'm loving it so far and got this picture of a not so happy Lauryl:

I honestly obsess at least once a week that I've left my curling iron on at home. I even own one that turns itself after a certain amount of time, but I'm still not convinced. About a month ago, I was sure I left the oven on and had to leave a wives' event because I couldn't stop running scenarios through my head. Fire (or at least causing one!) is definitely a big fear of mine.

Mindi, Elizabeth says you have an answering machine. So just call home. If the machine picks up, then you know the house is still standing. We have both used this trick often to assuage our paranoia.
