American Idol Thoughts

Instead of a live blog, just thought I’d post a few of my thoughts as I watched the show tonight.

-Randy Travis is one frightening looking man. That hair, those gums…. yikes. I wonder if he would look normal when looking in a fun house mirror?

- Love Allison Iraheta. Was she wearing a “Penny Blossom” in her hair (anyone else watch Big Bang Theory?)

- Kris Allen is adorable. Yes, I want to put him in my pocket.

- ‘Lil should stick to wearing dresses. They help to disguise her “shelf.”

- WTF was up with Adam Lambert? I can guarantee that many people are coming up with inappropriate youtube videos of him singing the “and it burns burns burns” part. And…he needs to call Proactive.

- Thank God they gave Scott (blind guy) a haircut. Do you think he had any idea how bad it looked before? How much do you want to bet that the producers want Scott to be kicked off tomorrow night so that he won’t go on tour with the top 10. Can you imagine trying to choreograph an entire show with one guy who has to sit or be led around the entire time?

- I know he has many fans, but Danny Gokey makes my skin crawl. (From now on I will refer to him only as Hokey Gokey.) Serious question…does anyone else find it odd that he doesn’t wear his wedding ring? His wife passed away just weeks before the auditions (which were about 6 months ago.) I know he has to “move on” but it just seems odd.

- ANOOP!! Love Love Love him. I have a strong desire to curl his eyelashes and see what he would look like with some Maybelline Great Lash.

- Megan Joy sang one of my favorite country songs “I Go Walking After Midnight.” Beautiful girl, but that dress was awful. I was worried there was going to be a wardrobe malfunction.

- I stared at the pimple/wart/boil on Matt Giraud ‘s forehead the entire time he was performing. And please note, contrary to what Randy Jackson said, he is NO Justin Timberlake.
