I've gotten quite a few of these lists from people (I guess it's going around that Facebook thing that I refuse to join.) I found reading them interesting, so I figure I'd jump on the band wagon. Here are 25 random things about me, which were much more difficult to come up with than I originally imagined.
1. I can recite the dialogue from the movie Grease word for word.
2. My fingernails grow like crazy. I can cut them down to stubs and within 2 weeks they are grown out.
3. I had hamsters as a child named Hershey and Cocoa.
4. I've been a fake blonde since 8th grade. (Prior to that it was a brown bowl cut)
5. My best vacation was to France and Italy with Stacey in 2007.
6. I never lost a baby tooth the old fashioned way, had to have them all pulled at various times by the dentist. (including one session of being put under and having 12 pulled prior to braces)
7. I can't stand public bathrooms and can hold it all day if needed!
8. I'm really really afraid of spiders. I hate those f$^&#*% s#&% of b%$#&*
9. I can twist my right ankle almost completely around and "pop" the joint which makes a gross sound
10. I took tap lessons through 8th grade - I can still clog with the best of 'em.
11. My first recital dance was to Cotton Eyed Joe, dressed in a chicken costume.
12. I secretly like going to the dentist (guess it's not a secret anymore)
13. I love live music. I've seen Justin Timberlake in concert 4 times, Madonna 2 times, Pink 2 times - as well as Dixie Chicks, Paul McCartney, Britney, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Cher, Midnight Oil, Peter Gabriel, Lenny Kravitz, Sheryl Crow, Sarah McLachlan, Counting Crows, Cyndi Lauper, and Janet Jackson (to name just a few)
14. I love sushi.
15. I always wanted crutches as a kid, mainly so I could take the elevator at school and have kids sign my cast. (it never happened)
16. I love shopping, but can't stand buying shoes. (Purses are my thing)
17. I can rewatch any episode of Gilmore Girls over and over and over.
18. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food. Mild wing sauce is all I can handle.
19. I've never seen the movie Titanic. I figure I already know how it ends (the boat sinks, Leo dies) so what's the point?
20. I love watching Award Shows and Beauty Pageants to see the dresses.
21. I'm a very amateur photgrapher and really enjoy photographing architecture and buildings. I'm not as good (yet) with people and pets.
22. I can't stand any kind of melon, green peppers, or stove steak (ask Jen for the recipe.)
23. I can't stand watching people brush their teeth. Just thinking about it makes my stomach turn.
24. I push the snooze button a minimum of 3 times every morning when the alarm goes off.
25. When I was little I wanted to grow up to either be a Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleader, or a Solid Gold Dancer. (Lofty Ambitions)

1. I am an obsessive compulsive neat freak. A messy house or piles of dirty laundry drive me crazy. A clean closet floor makes me happy.
2. I hate cheese. I'm not lactose intolerant and it's not a health conscious choice, I simply don't like it. Kendyl yells from the back seat or informs servers that I'm weird when I request no cheese.
3. I'm a chronically nice person. I'm even nice to people that are mean to me. I believe in karma and being nice is a choice I make.
4. I want to be a health nut, but I'm addicted to junk food.
5. I get no joy from working out. It's a way to burn calories and that is it!
6. I've never permed my hair and only tried highlights once.
7. I worry obsessively when I think I have inadvertently made someone mad that I truly care about.
8. I nursed both my children. It's something I always knew I would do when I had children and I loved every minute.
9. I've had braces twice. Once as an adolescent and again as an adult (while pregnant!).
10. Try as I might I cannot stop biting my nails.
11. I love to read for fun, but never seem to be able to find the time.
12. If I could have a re-do with college I would have found the courage and transferred when I realized I really wanted to be a nurse not a doctor.
13. I work only two days a week and it works great for me. I love getting to experience the weekday activities and playgroups and stuff I would have missed if I worked 5 days a week.
14. I despise shopping. I only go shopping if I need something specific. I used to drive my mom insane growing up.
15. Rob and I have known each other since before elementary school. We went to the same elementary, junior high and high schools. He was a year older than me and I was friends with his sister that was in my grade.
16. I spent my childhood doing gymnastics and my adolescence dancing. I believe this led to needing back surgery at 32.
17. I love summer.
18. I hope to have a winter home somewhere warm after we retire. Somewhere our kids can go with friends or take their families as they get older.
19. I believe in rules and I can't not follow them once I know them.
20. I have two favorite blankets and dread the day they fall apart. We (Rob and I) bought them at a freezing cold Chicago Cubs game and have used them ever since.
21. I'm not religious. I would love to find a church where I fit in, but not growing up in a religious home makes alot of it seem really abstract to me.
22. I love teeny bopper movies. I'm so glad I have girls, but worry what my excuse will be once they've outgrown them.
23. As a general rule I don't eat white foods. I don't like sauces, dips, yogurt, cottage cheese.
24. I prefer staying in the United States over travelling abroad. Our honeymoon in St. Lucia scarred me (rat traps the size of dogs, rats in a restaurant where we ate, blech).
25. I love naps. I wish I could take one every day.
I can't believe you, the tv guru, hasn't seen the Titanic! It's sooo good, and it will make you cry. Put it on your to-do list. :)
Um, tearjerker is not a good lure for Mindi...that might be enough to make her run away screaming and NEVER consider watching it again;-)
oh...oops! I mean, it's a really good, um, love story, that will make you want to go on a cruise and find a homeless man who won tickets onto the ship in a poker game, and fall in love with him and have a "fun time" with him in a car in the storage container at the bottom of the ship.

I worry about the birds and bees talk that Madison is going to get one day.... "You see Madison, when a Man and Woman love each other very much...they decide that they want to have "a fun time"....and then a baby is born." Poor Madison.....

Okay here they are
25 Random things about me...
1)People guess me at younger than my age...although the gap is closing!
2) I have difficulty keeping my thoughts to myself.
3) Until age 24 years old I was a devout religious person.
4) I love to eat GOOD food. However, after saying that, occasionally I get a craving for Chicken in a Biscuit crackers and squeeze cheese...ugh!
5) I love to read. Which seems obvious as I am a Librarian, but I love recommending books, I will read anything (at least to try it), I often read more than one book at once, I will read and do other things at the same time, when I hear someone talk about a book, even a stranger, I feel compelled to join in the conversation.
6) I am the oldest of 5 kids...3 brothers, 1 sister, there are about 7 years between me and my youngest brother and about 14 years between me and my sister.
7) Going to Walmart gives me anxiety attacks.
8) I take friendship seriously, maybe a little too seriously.
9) I am a registered republican who often votes independant
10) It is hard for me to start the day without a tall glass of cold milk with Quik in it!
11) When I sing, my favorite is to sing hymns, a capella style only!
12) I have lived with and amazingly still talk to at least 5 of my Facebook friends.
13) I actually have a friend that I made at age 7yrs, and we are still friends now (okay, we may not have been the closest for ALL of that time...but I think of her as a sister now)
14) I worked as a woodcutter for several years at an amusement park in Ohio. A few of those years I was also the Shop Manager.
15) I have a list of things I would like to accomplish before I hit 40.
16) Math is something that makes me want to curl up and hide.
17) When I was young, I wanted to be a Librarian, a Concert Violinist, or a Preacher's Wife...and I am a Librarian!
18) Most mornings I do not rise before 8am...because why would I?
19) The person I love to spend the most time with is my husband...even if that time is just me in one room and he in another, both of us doing something that has nothing to do with the other.
20) I LOVE to be read to!
21) One of my favorite things in the world is a hot summer night with a horrible storm coming in, the smell, the wind, the rain and the thunder and lightning...incredible!
22) My favorite season is AUTUMN and I have moved to a part of the country where the colors just aren't as bright and amazing...too much green and brown!
23) The state that I want to visit the most is ALASKA!
24) Birds scare me, as do clowns, mirrors and dolls...especially the ones that look lifelike!
25) I am a natural blonde who wishes more than anything that she could have gorgeous red hair.
