Evening Updates!

So many things to post - so little time! I'm currently up to my elbows in candy making, so while the most recent batch of caramels covered in chocolate (yum) are cooling, here are today's updates:

- New Moon (the sequel to Twilight) has an official release date. Mark your calendars for November 20, 2009.

- In more New Moon news, casting decisions are being made as we speak. Rumor has it that the new Director wants to replace Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black. At the top of the list is Michael Copon, who is not only older (26) but also much bigger than the previous actor who played Jacob. In the running for Aro, the mind reading Volturi leader, is Ben Barnes - best known from Chronicals of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

- The hour long episode of The Office following the Superbowl will guest star Jack Black.

- The Executive Producer of One Tree Hill is in talks to write the script for the remake of Melrose Place. Not sure if this bodes well for the fate of One Tree Hill, but a decision is said to be coming very soon.

- American Idol will implement some changes this season including: one less week of auditions being aired, bringing back the "Wildcard" round, the addition of a 4th judge, less focus on the bad singers, and no "Idol Gives Back" charity show this season.

- 38 days until Lost returns! Fans of the show will want to be sure and watch the video below from the producers of Lost - but beware, there are a few minor spoilers.
