My BFF's Birthday!!

Guess who has a birthday today??

I vaguely remember her from when we were little – my only memory is that she was always the really tan little girl running around at Swimland. We became better friends in Junior High School, then even better in High School. Speaking of which, here’s what she looked like back then (circa 1992)

It’s hard for me to believe that we’ve known each other so long, and we’ve managed to stick by each other through the good times and bad. We still look just like this don’t we?

She is an amazing Mom to the two most beautiful little girls I've ever seen. She is also a super intelligent woman who still can’t tell me what she does at work due to her secret government clearance (so I choose to believe that she clones babies...) and she makes one hell of a Turkey Burger. Hollywood is currently looking to cast someone as the new Wonder Woman, and I know just the woman. (as long as the part doesn't require any singing....)

I've only got an older brother, and while he is wonderful in so many ways, he's still a brother. He put spiders in my sandbox, threw crab apples at my head, and cut the hair off my favorite barbie doll's head. I was convinced that a sister would never have done those things....if only I had a sister. Little did I know that later in life, I would.

I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She is by far the best friend a girl could ever ask for and the sister I always wanted. I am so fortunate to have lots of friends in my life who help get me though the good times and the bad, but I've only got one sister.

Happy Birthday – Thanks for being my BFF!

No fair making me cry on my birthday! You keep me sane (well, as sane as you can) and happy, without you I would be completely and utterly lost. Thanks for being my BFF, it's not an easy job and I'm glad you're willing to do it!

You are definitely my sister too--obviously with the porcelain skin and all I have to tell people you were adopted BUT that's a post for another day!

And I must say, I LOVE the bangs in the first picture...aren't those coming back in style? You should try them again Jen! :)
